Inside a heat chamber

Kreycik had almost everything on his side when he went running on that hot day: he was extremely fit, relatively young and was an experienced runner.
While some people are more vulnerable to heat than others, including the very old and young, no one is immune — not even the world’s top athletes. Many are expressing anxiety as temperatures are forecast to soar past 95 degrees this week in Paris, as the Olympic Games get underway.

Scientists are still trying to unravel the many ways heat attacks the body. One way they do this is with environmental chambers: rooms where they can test human response to a huge range of temperature and humidity.
CNN visited one such chamber at the University of South Wales in the UK to experience how heat kills, but in a safe and controlled environment.
“We’ll warm you up and things will slowly start to unravel,” warned Damian Bailey, a physiology and biochemistry professor at the university. Bailey uses a plethora of instruments to track vital signs — heart rate, brain blood flow and skin temperature — while subjects are at rest or doing light exercise on a bike.
The room starts at a comfortable 73 degrees Fahrenheit but ramps up to 104. Then scientists hit their subjects with extreme humidity, shooting from a dry 20% to an oppressive 85%.
“That’s the killer,” Bailey said, “it’s the humidity you cannot acclimatize to.”
And that’s when things get tough.

Hierarchy of the Dark Net for Credit Card Fraud
Have you heard about the dark internet where hackers offer stolen Visa and Mastercard debit cards, hacked PayPal accounts, and cloned bank cards for sale? It's an exciting new way to access money without the need for credit checks or banks! But how do you cash out money from a stolen card? Well, there are a few different methods. The first is to buy Bitcoin and convert it to cash. You can also use the card to purchase items online, or you can use the Credit Card Verification (CCV) code to withdraw money from ATMs. Then there are the dumps cards, which allow the user to electronically transfer the stolen credit card information to another card. With these methods, it is possible to remain anonymous while accessing funds gained from the sale of hacked credit cards!

Biodiversity in the UAE
btrhbfeojofxcpxuwnsp5h7h22htohw4btqegnxatocbkgdlfiawhyid.onion
The UAE has 49 terrestrial and marine protected areas, including eight in Dubai. Accounting for over 18% of the country’s land territory and 12% of its marine and coastal territory, these protected areas are often natural reserves which include all the major ecosystems found in the region: mountain, desert, coastal and marine.

Andrew Gardner, associate director of Biodiversity Conservation at Emirates Nature-WWF, says wildlife conservation is recognized as an “important responsibility and obligation by the UAE.” For example, the country is a signatory to multiple international conservation conventions, such as the Convention on Biological Diversity, and has helped reintroduce animals such as the Arabian oryx to the Arabian Peninsula. According to Gardner, there are now over 1,600 oryx in two of the UAE’s protected areas, and thousands more in zoos across the region.
However, rapid development and population growth across the Emirates mean that “53% of bird species, 46.7% of mammal species, 19% of reptile species, and 8% of plant species” are endangered, according to a government report.
Gardner says the Arabian wolf and striped hyena have both gone extinct from the UAE in recent decades, and a small population of Arabian leopards that lived the Hajar Mountains until the mid-1990s are now also believed to be extinct.
Karingattil points to habitat loss, climate change and overfishing as some of the major threats facing wildlife in the UAE, but one issue he thinks people should take more action against is plastic pollution.
